I was privileged to work with the owners of 966 on the design of their new home after they lost theirs in the Marshall Fire. While devastated by their loss, this family was excited for the opportunity to design the home of their dreams.
"Our loved ones gravitate to this house to cook a hot meal or sit and visit. There is space for work, hobbies, and rest all efficiently planned...I highly recommend Taylor Architecture Studios to help you plan a home that you will cherish forever! " - owner
I worked closely with the owner to design a home that allowed him to look forward after his devastating loss from the Marshall Fire. Inspired by the modern farmhouse we worked tirelessly to achieve both form and function with an open floorplan and generous light.
Simple, yet beautiful and cost-effecient was the goal of this fire rebuild. Faced with the opportunity to improve on their previous floorplan we worked together to create an open plan with a main floor master connected to a larger mud and laundry space.
Rebuilding after the Marshall fire, these homeowners were seeking to simplify their floorplan. With minimal second story program requirements we were able to minimize the appearance of height and achieve a polished and modern aesthetic.
After the Marshall Fire, the goal for these clients was to get back in as fast as possible. Working from a base plan developed with Gen 3 on a previous project we modified the floorplan to add an additional garage space and back office per the client's program. Balancing budget and efficiency this was one of the first homes completed after the fire.
Similar to their next door neighbors, the goal for these client's was to get back into their home as quickly as possible. Working from a base design previously developed with Gen 3 we were able to efficiently adapt the plan to this specific site. These homeowners were some of the first to get back into their home after the fire.
Centrally located in downtown Lafayette, CO, this set of twin homes was a fun puzzle to solve. Working closely with the City of Lafayette, along with Gen 3 Homes we strove to balance aesthetics, efficiency, and historic district overlay facade requirements to develop these elevated homes.

The initial plan was to develop a duplex in downtown Louisville, Co, however after pushback from neighbors the design was updated to two smaller homes. Together with Gen 3 we provided new, efficient, and beautiful homes, while also blending in with the existing context of this historic downtown Louisville neighborhood.
